VENICE

Next on my European tour was Venice. After the excitement of the overnight train from Zagreb i arrived at dawn to a beautiful city full of colour and textures everywhere i looked.
Still part of my summer travels i was increasingly aware that the seasons were changing...even though i was still wearing little more than a bikini. After years of searching markets and department stores for perforated fingerless leather gloves i nearly cried with excitement when i came across 'fanny gloves'. After much deliberation( i had to sleep on it) i chose yellow! The gloves came in a rainbow of colours and are made of the softest leather and calfskin.

Round the next corner was a wool shop which was so modern with the perspex displays a million miles away from trad shops in the UK. Gloves and wool...autumn is on the way.
I was attracted to a painting with gloves on it whilst walking around the Planet K exhibition. The giant yellow title letters structure outside was so much more impressive than most of the work on display inside.
