BRISTOL

A day trip to Bristol. Was mega excited about the new Cabot circus arcade but i found the high street shops to be very mundane.
I found a 'krazy hearts' bubblegum machine that fully made up for my bubblegum disaster.
The pound shop that only sells jewellery standing proud in the middle of Broadmead was also a highlight. So much tat so little time! It was a dream.like a child in a candy shop but, probably a night mare for most people.
Found a new independant concept store selling street wear and street art.

FRANKFURT

European city approx number 5 this summer, depending if i count the cities travelled through in the night.
Frankfurt was another techno pilgrimage to the home of Cocoon Club and The Green and Blue Festival. Dancing was accompanied with dressing up and feathers in my hair courtesy of a Venetian mask, another souvenir from my travels. Flea market was full of delights like baskets of old vintage looking hair rollers. Expensive cocktails and Apfelwein (German, apple wine) were orders of the day, and of course sausages.

LATE SUMMER WEDDING

On my return from countries with super hot temperatures i have just enough time to pop back into florist mode to create the flowers for a late English summer wedding. The theme is simple and elegant, a complete contrast to the vibrancy of the European cities i have been relaxing in.
Pale colours soft and simple, freesias, open roses, thistles, and silver foliage dominate the hand tied bridal bouquet.

VENICE

Next on my European tour was Venice. After the excitement of the overnight train from Zagreb i arrived at dawn to a beautiful city full of colour and textures everywhere i looked.
Still part of my summer travels i was increasingly aware that the seasons were changing...even though i was still wearing little more than a bikini. After years of searching markets and department stores for perforated fingerless leather gloves i nearly cried with excitement when i came across 'fanny gloves'. After much deliberation( i had to sleep on it) i chose yellow! The gloves came in a rainbow of colours and are made of the softest leather and calfskin.

Round the next corner was a wool shop which was so modern with the perspex displays a million miles away from trad shops in the UK. Gloves and wool...autumn is on the way.
I was attracted to a painting with gloves on it whilst walking around the Planet K exhibition. The giant yellow title letters structure outside was so much more impressive than most of the work on display inside.

Euro trip Part 1 CROATIA

Croatia was a delight! I didnt think much of the Electric Elephant festival as a whole, but Croatia itself was STUNNING and hot, hot, hot! The supermarkets were not as exciting as id have hoped for but the own brand products were splendid!
Not a cloud in the sky for over a week!

SUMMER SUNNY SUNDAZE!

Ive just seen the gritter lorries going past my window at work, That means winter is well and truly on the way, so above is a selection of pictures of sunny Sundays! By far the best days of the week, They generally include dancing on a terrace, listening to Techno of some kind, and being outdoors!

BARCELONA

Barcelona is the place to be!
Sonar festival is THE best.
What more can i possibly say?
The exhibition housed in the MACBA Barcelona as part of Sonar by day was incredible. The exhibition entitled "the physical value of sound" was truly inspiring to me and so very close to my own heart. The collection of instillations clearly portrayed sounds and music in forms of visual and physical objects that could be seen and touched and not just heard. I am a true romantic and would love for DJs to play music on vinyl.

well here it begins

A big welcome to my blog, it has taken me a while, but here it is!
In this Blog i will share my images and thoughts with you.
As the amazing Tricia Guild said "we are what we see"
You will be kept informed about what i have been up to, where I've been, what I'm wearing, what my mates are wearing, my dreams and my thoughts.
Styles, trends and decisions that i may take or follow everyday will be documented, but most importantly, you will see what i see!
So to start is off here is a sunny summer pic from my home town of Brighton!
