Brixton Village Thursday night late market is a gem for creative types to showcase art and performance in this stunning 1930s covered arcade. A bring your own booze policy, handmade cakes, vintage clothes and pretty stuff to look at...who wouldn't want to go?
Is it wrong to like the Christmas lights in the day more than at night? The wires glistening in the sun, so much more peaceful at 8am when nobody is on Oxford St.
Dalston is a treasure trove of inspiring colours and collections of the bizarre. A severe culture shock to the senses. Nestled in the midst of Ridley Rd Market lies a supermarket of wierd and wonderful hairpieces, cosmetics and accessories lined up as far as the eye can see.
The hustle and bustle of New Covent Garden flower market is a riot of colour. I instantly did a beeline for these pink fish bowl vases and perspex cubes, and to top it off 80s look spray painted Eucalyptus. Living graffiti.
Bright blue autumn skies were an incredible backdrop to the sculpture exhibition at the Gloucester cathedral. The massive scale of the installations and sculptures was perfect to compete with the imposing architecture of the cathedral. Amazing little Vintage1940s hat nearly as blue as the sky was my fashion spot of the day in an Antique market.
Maybe I should start a new Blog entitled 'cake of the week'...heres my cakes of the month...fruit tarts for high tea at Hotel du Vin and Vanilla pod Bakery cupcakes.
Here it is gang, literally summer in a pint glass. Strawberry and lime cider..yes! In my local, The Windmill , Upper North Street, Brighton it even gets served with fresh fruit.
The Brunswick festival in Brighton is always a treasure trove of vintage, antiques and generally other peoples junk. Look at this lovely little collection of Crystal and Glass bottle stoppers.
I have been a busy gal making giant floral accessories for Spindle magazine's second issue fashion shoot. Was ace fun and I'm sure the finished shots will look great!Lovely to meet new people too.
Its been a busy few months with the weddings. Strong candy coloured, high summer, seasonal flowers arranged in vintage tea pots were one of the high lights for me so far.
